Red Bull Ampol Racing team drivers Broc Feeney and Will Brown have unveiled the Indigenous inspired artwork design that will be on the two Championship-leading Camaros for this weekend’s Hidden Valley round – part of the Supercars Indigenous Round.

At the heart of the striking design is a powerful celebration of Country and connection envisioned by local Taminmin College Year 12 student, Christopher Brumby.

Featuring vibrant dot painting, the design captures the harmony between people, animals, and the land. Flowing blue dots represent creeks and waterholes – precious sources of life and knowledge. Red dots signify the warmth of the earth, and the deep spiritual connections shared amongst all living beings across generations.

Central to the artwork are a crocodile and a barramundi, symbolising ancient elders – the guardians of wisdom, tradition, and the natural world. The pathways weaving between waterholes reflect how people and animals walk together, guided by the stories and teachings of Country.

The design proudly reflects the Northern Territory’s rich cultural landscapes and the importance of unity, respect, and knowledge-sharing, both on and off the track.

The artwork was created as part of the school’s Indigenous art program. The program is in conjunction with the Clontarf Foundation, supporting young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men with education, life skills, and employment initiatives, whilst partnering with Ampol, who are a Title Sponsor of Red Bull Ampol Racing.

“Our new Indigenous livery is awesome. To be honest, I love doing special liveries. I’ve had a great run in special liveries. I think I’ve won nearly every time we’ve run a special livery. I’m stoked; I like it when we mix it up.

“We can’t change our car too much normally, because we’ve got such good, long-standing partners who support us as well as they do. So, to have freedom for one of the rounds and having the Clontarf Academy kids design it, is super special. I love it. I think the car looks fantastic.

“It’s super colourful. There are lots of colours on there, which I like. It pops. Hopefully, I can keep that livery streak going.”

Both Red Bull Ampol Racing cars will take to the track at Hidden Valley Raceway for the Darwin Triple Crown, with Practice 1 kicking off the weekend’s racing Friday, 20 June.

It’s been the great long-haul of the year, but we’ve finally made it to Darwin and Hidden Valley Raceway!

Pom and his B-Triple have been charging across the countryside with the rest of the Supercars transport crew, who have done an impressive job to get from all corners of the East Coast to Perth and up to Darwin! It’s an exciting time in the Supercars year, as Darwin provides a unique opportunity to tell the tale of the Indigenous people through bespoke livery and kit to match. We’ve seen some outstanding liveries in years past, and 2025 is shaping up to be another step above the rest for the Red Bull Ampol Racing crew!

But enough of the travel, the details, and the fanfare. How good are our Bulls? BFeen and Charlotte are doing a tango only a Championship leader can dance, as we head into another one of Broc’s happy hunting grounds this weekend. Broc showed us again that his current form is no joke, with a win in the 2nd of two races on Saturday, pole and another “W” on Sunday means that Broc is locked in.

Will continues to churn out podium after podium, as he continues to chase BFeen down. While he admits his qualifying pace hasn’t been as strong as Broc, Will’s undeniable ability to drive through the field when it matters is a championship quality rarely seen. Will chased Woody down hard on Saturday morning to finish a close second, whilst some crucial strategy calls gave the boys a strong 1-2 on Saturday.

If anything from last year is to go by (we never count our chickens ), our boys could well be on for another heater of a weekend up north, and we cannot wait to see how they get going!

“We had a great weekend in Perth. The last race probably didn’t end the way we wanted, but we showed great potential throughout the weekend. Two second places, getting us back on the podium, and fifth place in the last one, but I felt very comfortable in the car all weekend. I feel like we’ve got our race pace back, which was something that really allowed us to win the championship last year. It wasn’t necessarily our qualifying performance.”

“I’m looking forward to getting up to Darwin. We had a great event there last year. Hopefully, we can have a good run and try to win a race. It’s the same as every round this year – everyone’s just so competitive. You’ve got to just roll up and see where you end up after the two practice sessions leading into qualifying on Saturday.”

“We’ve got a good grip on the cars lately, and hopefully that translates to Darwin, but you just never know right now. Honestly, it’s competitive every round. We’ve done five rounds now, and we’re going into our sixth round of the year up in Darwin. We’re already halfway through the Sprint Cup, and it’s probably the tightest it’s ever been in the championship right now. The top five cars are spread by just over 150 points, and a DNF for anyone in Darwin and it could really hurt their championship in the top four.”

“I’m excited. It’s great to come off another solid round and just keep building momentum. Short turnaround is awesome. It’s super different, something that we’re not used to over the last few years. I’m pumped to head back up to Darwin, particularly for the Indigenous round. We’ve got the Clontarf Foundation up there with the design of our new livery, which looks awesome. Everything makes it an exciting time of the year to head up north.”

“The weather’s great, it’s so laid back up there, and I’ve had some great results the last couple of years. We are just trying to keep building that momentum. I really want to win the Triple Crown, to be honest. I technically, in old terms, won it last year with two wins and pole position in the shootout on Sunday, but they changed the rules. So, it’s something that I really have my eye on – trying to win the Triple Crown.”

“I suppose right now, not much has changed with me, but it’s just another six months of my routine. And it’s just a reflection on the work that’s going on behind the scenes. And not everyone sees that. You see us 13 times a year when we turn up at the race weekends, but there are lots of things going on behind the scenes.”

“And to be honest, I’ve been racing heaps as well, and I think all the GT racing has been helping me a lot. I’ve been super busy, which has been good. But momentum’s the biggest thing right now, and I’m just trying to keep that going. Darwin’s been good to us before, but it doesn’t mean we’re going to be strong there again. We’ve just got to continue to work hard, and hopefully we can have another solid weekend.”

On-track action in Darwin begins begins 12:50PM ACST time (1:20PM AEST) with the first of two 30-min practice sessions on Friday. With support from TransAm, Carrera Cup, Touring Car Masters adn more, it’s going to be a warm and unforgettable weekend in Darwin!

“Yeah not a bad day for us and the team in that first practice session, Broc and I are both fast, it’s good to roll out after Perth and still be up there with speed and a good set up but obviously these Friday practices are there to get us ready for the race weekend.”

“Two third’s was good there for me, I feel like there’s room for improvement to make sure we’re up there in qualifying and hopefully the top ten but a good place to start and looks like we’re on track.”

“Obviously good to see Andre driving that car fast and a lot of Camaros going fast in the top ten. Having customer teams driving those cars well is good to see and means we know our package is good and it can get there.”

“Key tomorrow will be stringing a full fast lap together, no mistakes and putting it towards the top of the field. Looking forward to it tomorrow.”

“Today I think we rolled out pretty competitive time-wise. In the first practice Woody (Ryan Wood) had his second set of tyres on which helped him kick us off the top spot, but yeah we were probably quickest for a fair bit of that practice one session.”

“Then practice two probably didn’t go to plan as such. We just had a couple of little hiccups along the way and a couple of mistakes on my end which then can add up. So, yeah, we didn’t really get a clean green run in at the end. Not the smoothest of days I’d say, but I think we can see that the Triple Eight customer teams are pretty fast, my teammate (Will) is pretty fast, so I think we know where to improve, but it’s always tricky on such a tight little track.”

“Hard to pinpoint one thing to think about for tomorrow. The tow is definitely a part of the game here and being first out in the garage probably doesn’t help, but it depends how competitive you are. It hasn’t hurt us the last few rounds, if you’re fast enough you can do it by yourself but if you’re not, yeah, you’re probably looking for a tow to help you along.”

“We’ll just wait and see how we’re going, try and get in the top ten and then from there we’ll look to see what we can do.”

“So qualifying this morning, obviously very important for these Sunday races with the shootout, I felt a little bit stronger rolling out for qualifying, but unfortunately that just didn’t really put us in the top ten. It’s just that tight. We qualified 11th and just missed out on working our way into that top ten shootout. Just really struggling with qualifying performance, not really happy with where we’re at, but I had a really good race and got up to fifth to finish.”

“I don’t think anyone made more passes this weekend, not sure, but that’s what happens starting where I’m starting. You’ve really got to fight for it and really have to race everyone well. I’d really rather not, to be honest, but it was great the last couple of laps, making passes, really trying to pass Jack Le Brocq on the last lap and making it interesting. 
But at the end of the day, I’d love to be Broc (Feeney). You know, Broc’s done a fantastic job this weekend. Three poles, three wins, just a fantastic job.”

“So, just need to take a look at our side of the garage. We never felt like we were this far off Broc (Feeney) at any stage last year, and we felt like we probably could’ve edged a little bit ahead or, you know, at least held our own with Broc (Feeney), and both have very competitive cars this year. But right now we probably feel like after the last three or four rounds we haven’t really been there.”

“Between here and Townsville, I’m pretty keen just to get over to Chicago and have a reset, to be honest. I look at it as a holiday, get to go over and race in NASCAR, enjoy myself, have a little bit of time off from this and work and all those things. So looking forward to getting over there, doing a reset and coming back strong for Townsville.”

“Yeah, I mean to be honest, qualifying this morning didn’t really go as smoothly as I’d hoped it would. Probably weren’t as quick as we were yesterday, and literally just got into the top ten on the last lap of that first session. So there were super tight margins out there this morning for qualifying; it’s tight across the field when everyone’s trying to get to the top on a Sunday. We sort of went backwards a little bit compared to yesterday’s set-up, but then for the shootout, the thing just dialled in. I think I got pole by a bit, so it was an awesome lap. It was super special to get poll here again for the last race after the weekend I’d had so far. That’s what I had to do to try and go on and win the Triple Crown the way I want to win it.”

“Once again, the plan was to just manage the race as best we could and put the foot down. We ran super long to limit any single risk of a safety car, and then to come home super strong was awesome. This has literally been one of the biggest ones I’ve been trying to win, the Triple Crown. I watched Scotty do it back in 2019 and then Jamie do it a couple of years later and it is so hard to do over a single weekend, and it was something I really wanted to do one day, especially as soon as I started having success here to be honest. To do it this year without any question, take every qualifying session,and  win all races is super special. So it’s pretty awesome to add my name to that list.”

“I’ve wanted to lead the Championship all year, even with the Finals, and I’ve really got my eyes on that Sprint Cup now. Only two rounds to go in that part of the Championship, but it’s still all to play for; it’s so up and down this year. The Championship’s so close. For me, I just want to keep winning races. I think I’m on five in a row at the moment, so we’ll see how many we can continue to get. But yeah, at the moment, momentum, certainly it’s on our side and looking forward to keeping that going in Townsville.”

“Yeah, I don’t know what happened today to be honest. We just didn’t roll out as good today as we felt we would have off the back of yesterday unfortunately. I had two really poor qualifying sessions and that sets the tone for the rest of the day starting you where you’re starting.”

“So I think the races went as good as we could have hoped, you know, we would have rather finished better than where we did in the first one but to then get through from seventeenth to seventh in the second one in the hot conditions was really good. Showed the car can do it. Just got to do a better job in qualifying.
We’re honestly just struggling a bit there, I feel like I just don’t remember to do what I need to but also sometimes I’m making a mistake here and there which in this field costs you. It’s so tight. So we’ve just got to put it all together and get back in our groove starting tomorrow.”

“Those safety cars in the first race generally hinder you when you’re in the middle of pack because you don’t have as much time to do what you need to get done. Everyone pits at a similar period.
Everyone converts back to a very similar strategy. So it just doesn’t help. Adding to that we had quite a bit of damage in race one after the safety car restart as we were coming down the front straight. I was to the right of the crash and someone else trying to avoid it didn’t do anything wrong, just tried avoid it too, and we hit. So had a tyre pop off the belt.
Luckily it still held pressure for the whole race and I was able to get it home.”

“The key for me tomorrow is qualifying. Qualify, qualify well, then we’ll go well.”

“The car was good but wasn’t feeling great yesterday, but we were still up there, then we made a change yesterday afternoon and came out this morning with heaps of confidence in it. I literally went through turn one this morning and I knew the car felt a lot better. So from there, it was a tough qualifying session as the margins are just so close, like I nearly got knocked out in one of them but got through and went to P1 off the back of a really good lap. So it’s (the field) just super tight and you’re just trying to not make mistakes. But the car was a lot better today, it felt like we were in the window and yeah we went on to get two poles.”

“Race one it was super crucial to get the start that I did. I mean, I think whoever leads into turn one is going to have a big advantage but then unfortunately we just had pretty much ten to fifteen laps of safety car, which was a shame, because all you want to do is get racing. Unlucky to have crashes in those instances, but glad all those guys are okay. Then from there we sort of just tried to manage the race and gap back to Cam (Waters). Had a bit of an issue with my clutch in that first race which I noticed before the pit stop and I was trying to manage that… then Cam did the four tire strategy versus our two so the pressure was on.
He was coming back at us really strong there but thankfully our pace was good enough to sort of hang on by a couple of seconds in the end.”

“Race two was good once again, just got a good start and away we went. Got Anton off the line and from there just tried managing the race as best we could. Sort of put the hammer down and got the gap out to about four seconds. Then I wanted to try and pit a bit early because there was a worry I’d come out around some back markers. It was a bit stressful there for a few laps but ended up ok, came out of the stop going great, got fast laps in and it turned out awesome. Obviously there was a safety car at the end which was a bit unfortunate and anticlimactic for me and probably everyone watching on, I mean you get all pumped up in the car and then everything calms down, but overall stoked with a fantastic day. Two wins, two poles and a fastest lap. It’s been really solid. Bring on tomorrow!”
