We’re really proud of what we’ve been able to achieve with the Supercheap Auto Wildcard program to date. There’s been some incredible results, and it’s an enjoyable program for us to run each year, and we love representing Supercheap Auto, alongside all of their valued Trade Partners that come onboard for the program.”

“We’ve continued the trend of having an established driver with an up-and-coming rookie, and I recognized that Zach was one of those up and comers and pushed hard for him to be in the car this year. We’ve got big expectations on the program. We want to get results of course, but we want to be just as good off track as we are on track. I know presentation and professionalism are right at the top of Supercheap Auto’s expectations, and that mirrors us at Triple Eight as well.”

“We have got some of the best crew in the entire field with the Wildcard program in Ty Freele and Wes McDougall who both understand how to win and have shown that for a long period of time. A great crew, paired again with Craig Lowndes, who we know always rises to the occasion. So, there’s no excuses – we’ll give it absolutely everything it deserves.”

Andre Korte, General Manager e-Commerce and Marketing, Supercheap Auto:

“The 2025 Supercheap Auto Wildcard is looking fantastic, and we’re excited to reveal this year’s livery as we launch into another thrilling season.”

“This year’s program sees Craig Lowndes return alongside rising star Zach Bates, marking an exciting new chapter in our ongoing support of Australian motorsport talent.”

“We’re proud of our partnership with Triple Eight Race Engineering and the Supercheap Auto Wildcard program which is in its fifth consecutive season, reinforcing Supercheap Auto’s long-standing commitment to the sport and its passionate fanbase.”

Craig Lowndes, Driver #888 Chevrolet Camaro, Supercheap Auto Wildcard:

“It’s always a challenge to try and mix up the livery, but I think they’ve done a really, really good job this year, particularly with the silhouettes down the centre of the car. It definitely stands out. I think that as people get closer to the car, they’ll see the details of what’s going on. So that design side of it, I’m impressed with.”

“Supercheap Auto always puts on a great event, especially for launches. I always love and enjoy being part of it. They don’t hold back with the lengths that they go to for events like this. And, again, it’s just it’s all about the fans and the interaction of the people.”

“The benefit this year for the Wildcard program is that Zach has a Super2 Championship under his belt. He comes with another twelve months of experience on that side of it. He’s very mature. I also think that he understands the program because he sees what’s been going on over the last couple of years. And I’m really excited about using this as a platform for him to go further in his career like the drivers have in the past.”

Zach Bates, Driver #888 Chevrolet Camaro, Supercheap Auto Wildcard:

“It’s been a long-anticipated wait, but it’s definitely worth the wait. The second half of the year is going to be extremely exciting for the whole team. I’m very excited to represent Supercheap Auto and Triple Eight as we go into the Enduro season and a solo Wildcard appearance. The car looks awesome as always, and it’s exciting to see how much effort Supercheap Auto put into these launch events, it really is second to none for a smaller wildcard program such as this one.”

“It’s obviously an extremely exciting opportunity for me. I don’t think I’ve ever prepared as much as I have to be ready. The Triple Eight crew have been super welcoming at the workshop, and the Supercheap Auto team have been so awesome in getting me involved in everything. I am joining one of the most successful teams in Supercars and it’s this program is huge for my development – let alone teaming up with a guy like Craig Lowndes. It’s truly a dream come true, bring it on!”

Red Bull Ampol Racing team drivers Broc Feeney and Will Brown have both signed three-year contract extensions that will see them with the team until the end of the 2029 Supercars season.

Back in 2023 both Feeney and Brown signed contracts with Triple Eight until the end of 2026 with Will Brown joining the team as a replacement for Supercars Championship winner Shane Van Gisbergen at the time. This latest extension adds three years to the current contracts for both Red Bull Ampol Racing drivers.

The team announced the driver contract extensions in a video using fictional characters Wheeler and B-Feen, a throwback to the 2016 promotional videos featuring J Dub (Whincup), Cappy (Lowndes) and Gizzy (Van Gisbergen), the team’s drivers at the time.

CHECK OUT THE VIDEO HERE: https://youtu.be/dsAGAzTomOQ

Brown, currently in his second year with Triple Eight, won the 2024 Supercars Championship in his first year with the Red Bull Ampol Racing team.

In his two seasons with Triple Eight, Brown has started forty-five Supercars races, winning six and finishing on the podium twenty-eight times. Consistent top-three finishes in 2024 saw Brown claim the 2024 Supercars Championship over teammate Broc Feeney by 222 points at the final round in Adelaide.

While at Triple Eight, Brown has also driven as a part of the NASCAR Cup Series in the United States in both 2024 and 2025, as well as competed in the Formula Regional Oceanic Championship for open wheel racing where he won the 2025 New Zealand Grand Prix.

Broc Feeney, currently leading the Supercars Sprint Cup going into the final round at Queensland Raceway, has been driving with the Red Bull Ampol Racing team since entering Supercars full-time in 2022 as a nineteen-year-old.

In his five seasons with Triple Eight, Feeney has started over one hundred Supercars races winning twenty-two and finishing on the podium forty-one times. Before being elevated to the Red Bull Ampol Racing team, Feeney drove as part of Triple Eight’s Wildcard program at Bathurst with Russell Ingall in 2021 after winning the Super2 series that same year.

2025 has been Feeney’s best season to date with nine pole positions and ten wins from twenty-one races.

Feeney and Brown will take to the track at Queensland Raceway for the Century Batteries Ipswich Super 440, the Queensland-based team’s ‘home’ race from 8 August.

Triple Eight announced in early 2025 a move from GM after a sixteen-year relationship to be the Supercars Homologation Team for Ford as a part of a long term strategic and commercial partnership that will see the team race Ford Mustangs from 2026 driven by Feeney and Brown.

Jamie Whincup
Managing Director
Triple Eight Race Engineering

“In motorsport, it’s not easy to find a genuinely positive dynamic between two drivers. So to have two guys who not only get along well but are also fully committed to the bigger picture—driving each other forward and lifting the whole team—is something quite special.”

“That’s exactly why I’ve pushed hard to lock in this driver lineup for the long term. It’s a massive win for Triple Eight. Two of the best drivers in the field choosing to build their future here speaks volumes about what we’re creating.”

“At the end of the day, drivers want to be in the best machinery, with the best team around them. Will and Broc wouldn’t have made this commitment if they didn’t believe Triple Eight could continue to deliver at the highest level. Their decision is a huge vote of confidence in our crew and everything we stand for.”

“Personally, I just love what these two bring to the table. They are, without doubt, two of the most naturally talented drivers in the country. Their driving is dynamic and exciting—it’s the kind of stuff that makes people fall in love with the sport. But it’s their attitude that really stands out. They’ve both got an incredible work ethic, not just when the helmet’s on, but in everything they do. They’re the kind of people who return their shopping trolley to the rack when they’re done—genuinely good humans who care about the little things.”

“Their enthusiasm is infectious and aligns perfectly with the mindset we’re building here: glass half full, team-first, possibilities are endless. That kind of energy lifts everyone around them, and it’s a big reason why we’re so excited about the future.”

Will Brown
Driver #1 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“It’s cool to re-sign, obviously it’s fairly early, I had another year on my contract, but I think it’s cool after winning the Championship last year that the team has come to us and wanted to re-sign us sooner than later to lock us down.”

“For me there wasn’t a question mark, no question mark about the team in any way, I’m very happy here, the team does such a fantastic job. So to re-sign with this team is amazing and this soon makes it even better. Looking forward to having my future sewn up and just concentrating on the racing.”

“Obviously, you have Broc going pretty well, I was really happy to hear that both Broc and I signed on together. For me it’s about having a competitive teammate, which I absolutely do have this year that’s for sure. He’s been doing a fantastic job, but it pushes you to be better and it also keeps the team operating at a very high level, that’s all of our crew, all of our crew are the best of the best and if we can have that in drivers it sets us up.”

Broc Feeney
Driver #88 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“It’s awesome to sign a second contract with Triple Eight. After signing a long term deal initially, then to sign on for another multi year deal is really exciting.”

“For me, there was no other place that I’d rather be here in Australia and, you know, I’ve always loved being with Triple Eight here so it’s awesome to already be renewing for the future. I think the results this year are showing the strong relationship that we’ve got here, and Triple Eight’s not one to go through drivers, a lot of the guys have been here for a very long time, so hopefully I can continue to get the results and hopefully some big trophies to go with it in the next few years.”

“Obviously Will and I get along pretty well, it’s always good to get along really well and work together well and I think it’s really good for team and really good for the future, locking in younger guys that can stick around for a long time, it’s exciting. I mean, now I don’t have to think about anything else except for winning for another few years, which is a good mentality to have.”

After recently announcing his retirement from full time Supercars driving, Nick Percat has confirmed he will join Triple Eight Race Engineering and the Red Bull Ampol Racing team as a co-driver next season in the #88 car with Broc Feeney.

Red Bull Ampol Racing has announced its co-driver lineup for the 2026 Enduro Cup with incumbent Scott Pye and newly signed Nick Percat to join the team alongside Will Brown and Broc Feeney following the decision by Supercars legend Jamie Whincup to step back from co-driving.

Nick Percat, who made his Supercars debut in 2010, recently announced his retirement from full time driving. Over a fifteen year career in the sport Percat has delivered regular top ten Championship finishes highlighted by multiple race wins, victory at his home race in Adelaide, and a Bathurst 1000 title as a rookie with Garth Tander in 2011, his first attempt at The Mountain.

Percat, after finishing eighth in the 2024 Supercars season, made his full time Supercars driving retirement announcement mid-way through season 2025 while still in Finals contention. Percat will partner with Broc Feeney for Supercars rounds at The Bend and Bathurst next season.

Jamie Whincup, who started his racing career in karting and Formula Ford, has been a part of the Supercars Championship since 2002 in a driving career that has fans and those involved in the sport recognizing him as one of the greatest of all time. Whincup has won an unprecedented seven Supercars Drivers’ Championships, four Bathurst 1000 titles and over one hundred races from more than five hundred race starts. The most memorable moments from one of Australian motorsports’ most accomplished careers are a three peat win at the Bathurst 1000 in 2006, for the inaugural Peter Brock Trophy, then again in 2007 and 2008, and claiming six Supercars Championships in a dominant seven year stretch from 2008 with a seventh title in 2017.

In 2022, after retiring from full time Supercars driving, Whincup assumed the role of Managing Director of Triple Eight Race Engineering and Team Principal of the Red Bull Ampol Racing team where he has focused on building a successful future for Triple Eight. This will now be his sole focus, where key milestones already include a manufacturer and homologation team switch from GM to Ford, long term signings for current Supercars drivers Broc Feeney and Will Brown, establishing Triple Eight’s own Engine program and an expanding manufacturing arm for the business.

The confirmation that Nick Percat is joining the team as well as news current co-driver Scott Pye continuing on for a third season finalises the full driver line up for the Brisbane based squad ahead of a season that will also see Red Bull Ampol Racing change manufacturer and homologation team duties bringing new cars to track in 2026.

Scott Pye, who made his Supercars debut in 2013 and has won multiple races since, has been with Triple Eight Race Engineering since 2024 and will enter his third season co-driving for Will Brown at the Brisbane based team. The duo won the Sandown 500 on Pye’s debut with Triple Eight and backed that up with third at the Bathurst 1000 in 2024. Recently at The Bend round of the Enduro Cup, Scott Pye together with teammate Will Brown drove the #1 car from sixteenth on the grid to fourth place. Scott Pye will again partner with Will Brown for rounds at The Bend and Bathurst next season.

The 2026 Supercars Championship season will begin at Sydney Motorsport Park on February 20 with the Enduro Cup for co-drivers being held at The Bend on September 11 and Bathurst on October 8.

Nick Percat
Driver #88 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“I am extremely excited to be driving at Triple Eight and to be honest it was the only team I wanted to be with. Putting myself with the best possible team on and off the track with the calibre of staff and drivers at Triple Eight was the priority for me.”

“To be co-driving with Broc is very cool, to be with someone with such raw speed but also the dedication to go with it has me seriously excited. We’ve driven together before and also get along really well off track and out of the garage. I’ve also known Broc’s race engineer Marty since my early racing days so it was a perfect fit.”

“To be stepping into the seat Jamie was in is a bit of an honour. Jamie was the guy we all tried to beat for so long and his ability inside the car is seriously incredible. I was fortunate enough to have a few battles with him over the years but more often than not he was schooling all of us!”

“I’m excited to work closely with him and see how he goes about it all both as Managing Director but in the garage and in pit lane as well. Although he’s not in the #88 I’m sure there is still plenty he can teach me. Having a literal racer as your boss is pretty unique but a very big asset for us, the drivers.”

Jamie Whincup
Manging Director
Triple Eight Race Engineeering

“What a journey it’s been. Since starting my Triple Eight Race Engineering ownership back in 2018, I have always said I will continue to drive the car as long as the management team and I feel like I’m the best person for the job. In 2021 it was clear that Broc Feeney was ready to debut in Supercars and needed a break to get in. This allowed me to move into the teams Managing Director role which I’m continuing to love while striving to improve and be the best I can be there.”

“Now the opportunity has come up where a leading main game driver in Nick Percat has decided to pursue a co-driver role and we are thrilled he chose this team to do it with. I’ve absolutely loved my time with Broc and the #88 crew, there were people keen for me to continue on but I’ve made the call that Nick is our best chance for success to team up with Broc for next season. I truly feel the driver line up we’ll have in 2026 will compliment the rest of our superstar crew to give us the best chance to showcase what we do best.”

“I would like to officially welcome Nick to the Triple Eight family and I’m very grateful to have both Nick and Scott showing trust in us to deliver them fast and reliable race cars.”

“I’m not saying Bathurst was my last race in a Supercar. At this stage I will not be driving a Red Bull Ampol Racing race car in the 2026 or 2027 Enduros, and right now have no other plans but to continue to be a better Managing Director. I’m not shutting the door on driving ever again, it’s not something to read anything into either, right now have no other plans than Managing Director of Triple Eight and I’m looking forward to putting everything into that.”

There are so many cool touches that you’ll be able to see looking around the Gold Coast and at the track on the weekend. Looking forward to racing on the weekend but until then it’s great to have moments like these happen.”

Gus Eagleton
Artist, Broc Feeney Mural

“It’s awesome to be part of something that celebrates Broc ahead of his home race. I’m stoked to be involved in the action in some way. Hopefully this artwork brings him a bit of good luck for the race!”

“The mural was created entirely with aerosol, featuring Broc Feeney and the Red Bull Ampol Racing team for the Gold Coast 500. The colours, scale, and energy all come together to match the excitement of the race, capturing the moment the team hopefully takes out a win!”

Ryan McNamara
Founder/CEO, Locked Down

“Not only is this a home event for Broc, but it’s also a home event for Locked Down. That makes this project even more special for all of us. To be able to collaborate so closely with Broc by taking his personal ideas, his connection to the Gold Coast and turning that vision into something truly unique has been an incredible experience. Having only eighty eight of these signature hats available makes these a collectors item & something special for the community.”

“We obsessed over every detail of these hats to make sure they didn’t just look good but carried a story with them. I genuinely believe we’ve created something truly unique, a design that stands apart from anything else in the world. It’s more than just an event hat but it’s a reflection of Broc’s ideas, the energy of the event and what we stand for as a brand.”

The Gold Coast 500 starts on Friday 24 October at Surfers Paradise and will be broadcast free-to-air on the Seven Network and the 7Plus app, and on Fox Sports and Kayo Sports.

Red Bull Ampol Racing team drivers Broc Feeney and Will Brown have unveiled the Indigenous inspired artwork design that will be on the two Championship-leading Camaros for this weekend’s Hidden Valley round – part of the Supercars Indigenous Round.

At the heart of the striking design is a powerful celebration of Country and connection envisioned by local Taminmin College Year 12 student, Christopher Brumby.

Featuring vibrant dot painting, the design captures the harmony between people, animals, and the land. Flowing blue dots represent creeks and waterholes – precious sources of life and knowledge. Red dots signify the warmth of the earth, and the deep spiritual connections shared amongst all living beings across generations.

Central to the artwork are a crocodile and a barramundi, symbolising ancient elders – the guardians of wisdom, tradition, and the natural world. The pathways weaving between waterholes reflect how people and animals walk together, guided by the stories and teachings of Country.

The design proudly reflects the Northern Territory’s rich cultural landscapes and the importance of unity, respect, and knowledge-sharing, both on and off the track.

The artwork was created as part of the school’s Indigenous art program. The program is in conjunction with the Clontarf Foundation, supporting young Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander men with education, life skills, and employment initiatives, whilst partnering with Ampol, who are a Title Sponsor of Red Bull Ampol Racing.

Broc Feeney
Driver #88 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“Our new Indigenous livery is awesome. To be honest, I love doing special liveries. I’ve had a great run in special liveries. I think I’ve won nearly every time we’ve run a special livery. I’m stoked; I like it when we mix it up.

“We can’t change our car too much normally, because we’ve got such good, long-standing partners who support us as well as they do. So, to have freedom for one of the rounds and having the Clontarf Academy kids design it, is super special. I love it. I think the car looks fantastic.

“It’s super colourful. There are lots of colours on there, which I like. It pops. Hopefully, I can keep that livery streak going.”

Will Brown
Driver #1 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“I love the look of our indigenous car. The Clontarf Academy kids have done an awesome job with the design, and it looks even better on the car as well.

“It’s cool for our sponsors and partners who support us to get behind liveries like this; it shows just how good the group of people we have with us is. I’m excited for everyone to see it, might be a little biased, but it might be one of the best yet.”

Both Red Bull Ampol Racing cars will take to the track at Hidden Valley Raceway for the Darwin Triple Crown, with Practice 1 kicking off the weekend’s racing Friday, 20 June.

“Hold on, wait a minute. Sydney? What do you mean it’s the opening round of 2025? Weren’t we just watching Will blow the sides off his Camaro down the start straight in Adelaide? With heaps of confetti? (We haven’t got that out of our hair yet – oh well.)

Well, if that’s true, we are SO back. SMP is our official return to racing, and the kickstart to a new brand of Supercars! And the fellas are gassed up, ready to rip. Why, might you ask? They’ve been racing. A lot. Insert quotes about iron sharpening iron, more seat time, and versatility. How about some open wheelers in New Zealand, GT3’s at the Mountain for half a day, triathlons, and planes? Maybe Will wasn’t racing planes but they go fast enough to put them here!

Wheeling a whole range of automobiles, the boys haven’t really had much of an offseason, but they wouldn’t have it any other way. Put it this way – running against some of the world’s finest GT3 talents, and competing? Standard procedure. BFeen’s first weekend in an open wheeler to put it on pole for the NZGP? Stoked. Will winning the damn thing, and being the first Aussie to do so in 50 years? Ultimate stoke.

But we are heading to Sydney, and this is Supercar racing – not much like it. And for some spice, a brand-new way to get to the final flag in Adelaide in 9 months’ time. The 2025 season is all about wins, points are essentially numbers on the chalkboard.

The year starts with the 8-round “Sprint Cup”, where the best performing driver from Friday night in Sydney, till Sunday afternoon back at the old stomping ground at Queensland Raceway will be crowned Sprint Champ. This is critical, as it gives that driver an automatic Finals berth (spot 1 of 4).

We then head to arguably everyone’s favorite format – the Enduro’s. The “Enduro Cup” will be contested across a 500km duel at The Bend Motorsport Park in South Australia, before heading to NSW to tick off the big one at Bathurst. The winner of the Enduro Cup will be given the 2nd Finals berth (spot 2 of 4).

Now this is where math is needed. After the first 27 races of the year, the top ten in points will qualify for the Finals, alongside the Sprint and Enduro Cup winners. and all ten will have points reset to 3000 – all square. Enter the Gold Coast 500. Any driver from the 10 finalists who wins a race at the Gold Coast event, will be guaranteed a place at the Sandown event. After the Gold Coast, the bottom three drivers will be eliminated from title contention, leaving seven drivers to advance.

Sandown might have lost its enduro status, but it becomes one of the biggest races for those still in contention for the Final in Adelaide. The remaining 7 from the GC will have points reset to 4000 – all square. Any driver from the seven remaining finalists who wins a race at Sandown, will be guaranteed a place at the Adelaide Grand Final.

Bonus points will be applied following Sandown, and once again, the bottom three drivers will be eliminated, leaving the top four to battle it out in the final round – equal on 5000 points. Don’t worry, it gets easier now! The champion will be determined across three races – one 100km on Friday, one 250km on Saturday and the final 250km race of the year on Sunday afternoon, where points from these races will be added to the 5000 from the start of the weekend to crown a Champ.

Phew, that is a lot. But we’ve got eyes for Sydney right now. And speaking of, head below to hear from the boys about their summer and how they are feeling heading into the first of 13 rounds in 2025

“I’m looking forward to getting into the start of the season and yeah just getting into the racing. It hasn’t felt like it’s been a massive off season for me for the amount of racing I’m doing, but I’m definitely looking forward to getting back into a Supercar.

I think I’ve just been in the car as much as I can and I think that can only help, getting as much track time as possible. Definitely keeps you sharp. So, hopefully that’s the case.

We want to win races at the end of the day. We’re going there to try and have the championship lead at the end of the weekend and hopefully we can win a race, but you never know. The Fords were really strong here last year, so we’ll just wait and see.”

Will Brown
Driver #1 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“I’m keen to get back into it. Everyone’s obviously gonna say that, but it’s exciting to be back for another year. Sydney wasn’t a strong round for us last year, so I’m looking forward to having a test day there, and hopefully rolling out good. But for me, I had a fair bit of time off and then been busy the last few weeks racing, so I feel fresh and ready to just get the ball rolling. But for me it’s about getting back into a routine of racing.”

“You always need a rest. I definitely needed a rest at the end of last year but for me it was important to do a few races before coming back to round one just to make sure I was sharp.”

“Doing the Bathurst 12 Hour and then doing the New Zealand Grand Prix was all about expanding my knowledge by driving two different cars there and working with different people. So for me it’s, it’s exciting. It’s another new year. I’ve got the same crew, but as always, it’s the same goal”

Broc Feeney
Driver #88 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

On-track action fires up with free ticketed access to the official Supercars Test Day On Wednesday 19 while the Sydney 500 commences with the only practice session of the weekend at 12:40PM, followed by Qualifying at 3:20PM and a 100km intro to 2025 at 6:50PM!
For the first time ever, a Supercars Champion will be crowned through the all-new Finals series. From the high-flying streets of Surfers Paradise to the treacherous Victorian weather at Sandown, we’ve made it to Adelaide!

And wow, hasn’t it been fun? Both of the Bulls have made it in, and as the only two-car team in the Grand Final at Adelaide. Regardless of the noise, two is always better than one, right? Chaz and Kai will fight on with outside support – and sure, that might be a crucial factor at points across the weekend, but the best man will win on Sunday afternoon, regardless of who sits in their corner.

Adelaide has a special place in Triple Eight hearts. Although gone are the years of JDub, Lowndesy, and SVG carving their name into the Parklands circuit, our current Bulls know how to get around. No one can forget BFeen’s emotional 2022 win as Holden’s last hurrah, while Will shocked the Supercars world by running from last to first, en route to winning his first Adelaide 500 and Supercars Championship.

Will pulled one of the great blinders on the field at Sandown. Qualifying woes continued to plague him, while simultaneously pulling out Usain Bolt-esque race pace to charge his way to 2nd and 3rd place finishes. Seriously, the swing of emotions in the garage could be drawn to losing your keys for an hour, only to find them sitting in the door lock, exactly when and where you need them. PHEW. Look for Will to throw the kitchen sink at qualifying this weekend, where a spot inside the shootouts across the weekend could make Brown a serious threat for an extremely timely race win or two.

B-Feen keeps doing what he has been doing all year. A 4th on Saturday was solid, but not the target. Unhappy, Broc put the #88 on pole and ran a race exactly like he has all year on Sunday. Snapping the #25’s impressive Finals run, Broc’s Sunday race win put him firmly on the front foot. And with points buffer heading to South Australia, Broc’s tremendous 2025 form is one step closer to being rewarded.

However, everything changes next week. 4 has to become 1. 3 races, and 3 chances to lay a hand on the championship trophy. Chaz brings career experience, while Kai brings a heavy underdog status. The rest of the field doesn’t care for a championship win; an Adelaide win can revive anyone’s season with ease. It all comes down to this, and we can’t wait.

Will Brown
Driver #1 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“We’re preparing well. It’s been a massive six weeks with pretty much one weekend between each event. And it’s been extremely busy so we’re trying to prepare as best we can. We’ve had three days to turn the cars around. Broc and I are in the workshop, we’re doing simulator work, debriefs, pre-briefs, getting ready to go. It’s a big week for us. We actually get there on Sunday – we’re there for a week and three days. So it’s a massive week heading into the Grand Final, but it’s looking really exciting. I’m feeling confident going into there. I felt confident going into Sandown. Our qualifying wasn’t where we wanted it to be, but we really raced strongly. Our side of the garage is building confidence going into Adelaide, definitely after our last round.”

“I think on-track stuff, you’ve got to play it by ear. You never know what’s going to happen until you’re in the situation. You qualify on pole and get out in the lead, and none of those team tactics really work. But when you’re coming through the pack like I was, there are always those team tactics you have to watch out for. But generally, the fastest car wins at the end of the day. So, we’ve got to go to Adelaide, trying to put our best foot forward with a really good setup, me driving well, and try and see where we come out. Like I say, it’s down to four guys now. We’ve given ourselves a good shot at actually winning the title again, so hopefully we can come away with a championship.”

“My approach is just to try and get in the shootout each day. I feel like in the shootout we can do a good job and be further up the front. We’re trying to put our finger on our qualifying at the moment, but haven’t figured it out yet. We haven’t been able to pinpoint what it is. So, we are doing a lot of simulator work, we’re looking at setup, we’re looking at our run plans and everything to try and make sure we give ourselves the best shot.”

Broc Feeney
Driver #88 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“I’m just really excited, to be honest. Like, obviously, it’s been an awesome season. But this Finals series is something else. There’s been a lot happening in the first couple of rounds. To make it as the points leader into the last round is super important. I am genuinely just stoked and pumped to go racing. It’s the biggest week of my racing career, probably the biggest week of my life coming up.”

“So, just looking forward to it, ready for what’s to come and just excited. Adelaide is an awesome track, I love racing there, and I’ve had some great results. Certainly, the past couple of weeks have been a very short turnaround, but just full focus on making sure we’ve got the fastest car possible come next week.”

“Everyone is racing extremely hard, but it’s the pointy end of the season, so you can expect hard racing. The racing has been different when there were ten guys in the final, with seven guys in the final, and now only four guys in the final. You can probably expect the other guys to be racing pretty hard with nothing to lose now. So, it’s going to be exciting for us. I’m not focusing on anyone else apart from ourselves. And I know that when we do the best job we can, we’re capable of good things. And that’s the goal for us, to do the best job that we can. If we can do that, I’ve got no doubt we can go on and win some races.”

The Adelaide Grand Final commences with a single practice session on Thursday, before the boys slug it out for $50,000 on Friday.
It’s the great long haul of the year, chasing the bright Nullabor sunrises and long desert roads. The picturesque landscape of Western Australia returns, as both our boys arrive in Perth ready to rumble.

It’s been a steady return to form for the boys, but BFeen is on an emphatic rise to the Sprint Cup points lead. You might be thinking – “The points are reset after Ipswich, does it really matter about leading the points?” And that’s a fair thought to have, but don’t mention it around Broc. After a dominant weekend down south in Launceston, only blemished by a 0.05s loss to Car #19. If Broc isn’t winning races this year, he is only meters away from winning them! Keep a strong eye on the #88 this weekend, as the ability to lock in and throw down a single lap turn of speed is becoming a serious forte in a championship year where times are tighter than ever. If the Broc Feeney we saw in Tassie shows up in Perth, it’s going to be fun to watch.

On the other side of the garage, Will is getting his mojo back. After a tough weekend over the ditch, Will saw a potential podium slide away on the Saturday, whilst pole and a 3rd was a welcome return to the podium in Tassie. The defending champ is not done, and suggests that he has got “a bit to prove in Perth”. When was the last time you heard that? A podium in 2024 (and a celebratory burnout for a 2nd place?, on ya mate) suggests Will knows his way around Wanneroo and will be a threat as always to be in contention. And while the pundits might have their opinion, Broc and Will sits first and second on the board, and the race te be crowned the inaugural Sprint Cup champion would be a lovely feather in the cap, as we begin the fight to Adelaide.

But why take it from us? Hear from the boys below on their upcoming trip out West!

Will Brown
Driver #1 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“I don’t know if Tasmania was better for me. It was one of those weekends when we had a fast car and I just didn’t convert. I feel like I’ve got a bit to prove in Perth this weekend. We’ve been in a lull for probably two rounds now, where I just haven’t got the results I want or need. I’m going to Perth, trying to win a race. That’s the ultimate goal – trying to win races, but also trying to be consistent over the weekend as best I can.”

“I feel like we go into every weekend, pushing as hard as we can, so it remains the same. It’s very hard – you prepare each weekend to be as consistent and competitive as you can, but everyone else is doing a good job as well. So, the emotions going over to Perth are the exact same, but hopefully, we just convert a bit better.”

Broc Feeney
Driver #88 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“I feel like it’s the first time that hopefully we’ve got a little bit of momentum, but it’s really just back to working hard. It’s been so close this year, you can’t rely on previous years or previous rounds to be strong. It’s just about exploring all our options and hitting the ground running. I felt like we found a good direction in the last couple of rounds, and hopefully we can carry that forward.”

“I hope we can take what we learnt in Tasmania to Perth. The tracks are quite different in the sense of what you need to extract a good lap time, but it’s a short lap, and the field’s gonna be as close as ever once again. It’s going to be super challenging for us drivers, but the teams. I hope the car that we had in Tasmania, with a few tweaks, can be strong in Perth. Qualifying’s been a strong point this year, so I think if we can carry that
forward, it’s just about having three good, consistent races and trying to sweep the weekend once again.”

“I’ve always done quite well in Tasmania and Darwin, and have had a win before in Perth. I always enjoy this middle part of the year. I seem to go quite well, and I think it’s just because I enjoy the tracks and enjoy the events that we’re going to. I think we’ve been really fast this year, and Tasmania is probably the first time that we’ve actually converted it into race wins and results. Once again, though, it’s just going to be about executing and doing the best we can with what we’ve got.”

Supercars returns hard and fast in the West, with the Super 440 format back to rule the weekend in Perth!

Actions begins with the first of two practice sessions on Friday at 2:05PM AEST!

No, really.

Any of those glorious highlight clips you see on social media or YouTube – there is bound to be a clip from Symmons Plains, front and centre. Most likely courtesy of some high-speed touches, sending anyone in the wrong place, or some of the most grizzly and aggressive passes you’ll find anywhere.

It might be the freezing cold; it might also be the 50-second lap times. It might be the ever-classic Turn 4 hairpin left-hander, with its 300 different racing lines. It might also be the garages, and the best place to enter them (same as taking your boots off when you get home from work – you wouldn’t hear a helmet inside, would you?).
Jokes aside – there is some work to be done. The boys copped a fair old time of it over the ditch, and for only the second time in the Gen-3 era of Supercar racing, a Red Bull Ampol Racing Camaro was not on the podium at a race weekend. Bugger.

But we keep rolling with the punches, as they will be coming thick and fast at Symmons Plains. With a year of racing so far, being hugely physical, aggressive, and drawing mixed opinions, qualifying results will be the greatest focus across the weekend. We haven’t even mentioned how tight the Top Ten Shootout on Sunday will be – how good! But don’t take it from this scribe – head below to hear from the boys and how they are feeling for the big trip south:

Will Brown
Driver #1 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“I am for sure looking forward to getting down to Tasmania. Obviously, it was a bit of a tougher round for us in New Zealand. So keen to get out on track on Friday. Hopefully, uh, we can bounce back strong and get a win or two out there.”

“Personally, I don’t really look into our history in Tassie. I think every year, racetracks evolve, people evolve, and I think we saw that in New Zealand. Last year, we had a really strong showing there and were fairly dominant, and this year we struggled. So, I just focus more on each meeting as it comes and prepare the best we can for that.”

“I think it’s showing this year how close the times are between everyone, and that’s without getting on a short circuit, like Symmons Plains. The times in qualifying are always close in Tasmania, but they’re going to be even closer this year. So you’re going to have to put your best foot forward, make no mistakes, and qualify right up the front to race up there.”

Broc Feeney
Driver #88 Chevrolet Camaro
Red Bull Ampol Racing

“I’m excited to bounce back with a good weekend. There’s always lots of talk when we don’t have the best of weekends, but I think we made really good progress on Sunday in New Zealand, and we learned a lot. Going to Tasmania, the mindset is the same as usual. It’s not to go there and try and improve a little bit, it’s to go there and win races, which we’ve been able to do in Tasmania for a long time.”

“We were fast there last year, but it’s going to be about qualifying up the front and executing. For me, it’s about getting the ball rolling. I mean, we’ve had an okay start to the year, but our results probably don’t reflect what our pace has been. So, it’s looking to have a good weekend, get some wins on the board, and try and get back to the top of the standings.”

“You can’t rely on previous years. Looking at New Zealand, we went there with something that was similar to last year’s car, and we went away from that. We took a lot of learnings from that, just trying to understand why. I think with the new car, new tires, you know, nothing’s a guarantee anymore. We know we’ve got the best guys in the pit lane, we’ve got the best engineers, so we’ve got to get to work. I felt like we learned a lot from what was a bad weekend last time out. I am just looking forward to getting back to work and getting back to where we should be.”There is no break from the action this weekend, with the Super 440 format at play – meaning 2x qualifying sessions and 2x sprint races on Saturday, followed by qualifying, the all-important return of the Top Ten Shootout and a strategy race in the afternoon.

Strap up, put your mouthguard in, and get your toes on line, because we are in for a treat this weekend!
