Red Bull Racing Australia 2014 Launch
We welcomed a new face to the family as Richo donned his RBRA gear for the first time. Fits like a glove!
V8 Supercars Test Day
Loyal fans flocked to Sydney Motorsport Park for a firsthand glimpse at the 2014 bulls. The rumours were true, they’re even hotter in real life.
Clipsal
Lowndesy’s first shunt of the season thankfully happened on two wheels instead of four. Watch the guys mountain biking on Mt Lofty.
The bulls came charging out of the starting blocks with a win apiece on Saturday under the new format, which was pretty Swede.
Australian Grand Prix
The bulls were on parade at the AGP as we again lined up for the Ultimate Speed Comparison.
And hiding behind that helmet is the legendary Tony Hawk who came to find out what it’s like when you add a V8 engine to four wheels.
Tasmania
A rollercoaster of a weekend would be an understatement for Tassie, even with a clean sweep of poles and race wins.
But at the end of it, rest assured there were smiles firmly cemented on every face in the RBRA garage.
Winton
Oh Winton, you turned on the most fantastic weather…
…but the sun did not shine on us that weekend. Onwards and upwards.
Pukekohe
New Zealand provided plenty of two-wheeled and two-footed action. Check out the drivers taking on the Warriors.
Unfortunately though, it was another weekend that produced minimal silverware. Oh well, at least it kept the container weight down.
Perth
In the West the talk on everyone’s lips in the RBRA garage was how on earth to get these bulls charging again.
Someone must have been waving a red flag because they made a charging return to the front of the pack where they belong.
Darwin
Just in case you guys didn’t notice, we had a team birthday in Darwin.
We also finally got the better of one of our bogey tracks, claiming all three pole positions, having never claimed a single one at Hidden Valley throughout Triple Eight’s 10 year history.
Townsville
Craig kicked off the event with wings of a different kind, but unfortunately they didn’t make it to the track as he suffered his first DNF in 81 races. Click here to see Lowndesy making an entrance.
Meanwhile, Jamie showed exactly why he’s the king of Townsville with a pair of victories at the Reid Park circuit, the championship lead now well within reach.
Queensland Raceway
We’ll happily admit that we were kissed on the unmentionables to get the second 1-2 finish on home turf.
But we’re never ones to turn down the bubbly.
Sydney Motorsport Park
Again, the fans flocked for a piece of the action. And a piece of Lowndesy. Who can resist?!
The races were more reminiscent of drift cars than V8 Supercars though.
Sandown
To this day we still wonder who thought this was a good idea.
Thankfully the cars made it to Sandown in one piece and JDub and The CEO kept it that way as they lead the race from start to finish.
Bathurst
It was an absolute honour to work with this group of legends. Plus, Bernie got to go to Bathurst. Ace.
After a generally shocking buildup, the fairytale finish we’d worked for disappeared in a puff of E85. Apparently you need fuel to race a car. Who’d have thought?
Gold Coast
Project Sandman. ‘Nuff said.
Our friend, the Enduro Cup, came back to its home at Red Bull Racing Australia HQ, this time with two new names.
Phillip Island
Phillip Island always puts a smile on our faces. Oh wait, Craig’s never moves.
But these were extra big smiles because Jamie and RBRA wrapped up the Drivers and Teams Championships with a round to spare.
Sydney
The season finale saw the last two races of the season red flagged. Anti-climax much?
Didn’t matter though because Jamie still got the crown he deserved…
And so did the team!
Thanks for joining us for another incredible year, we hope you’ve enjoyed the journey as much as we have.
