PRACTICE AT PUKEKOHE

With a hop, skip and jump the Red Bull Racing Australia team find themselves in the land of the long white sheep – New Zealand.

With just three race meets until the championship season is over, now is the time to score those much needed points.

Friday’s practice sessions at Pukekohe Park Raceway saw both Jamie Whincup at Craig Lowndes put the pedal to the metal and get the blood pumping on what was a chilly day at the circuit.

Lowndsey managed to secure P3 in both sessions, “I am excited about where we finished, it has been a very productive day”, said Lowndes.

“It was one of the nicest cars I have driven around here and given it’s a bumpy track that is really important. Looking forward to tomorrows qualifying and sprint races” explained Lowndes.

JDub warmed up quickly, going from P16 to P4 across the day.

“It’s been a great day, we got through the plan. We can’t complain about today’s results, we had two new sets of tyres for practice.  It is also great to have Cauchi back on the radio, so far so good” said Whincup.
