Off the back of their 2013 V8 Supercars Championship win, Red Bull Racing Australia is excited to announce the appointment of Mark Dutton, Jamie Whincup’s five-time Championship winning Race Engineer, as Race Team Manager for the 2014 season, with Jeromy Moore being promoted to Chief Designer, whilst continuing as Craig Lowndes’ Race Engineer for a seventh consecutive season.
Jamie Whincup’s number one Holden Commodore will now be engineered by David Cauchi, a former Data Engineer for Red Bull Racing Australia, who joined the Brisbane-based team back in 2008.
Both Mark Dutton and Jeromy Moore have been with the team throughout its ten-year history since owner Roland Dane established Triple Eight Race Engineering Australia in 2003. Roland Dane continues as Team Principle and Ludo Lacroix remains in his position as Technical Director.
Triple Eight is also excited to announce that Red Bull has confirmed the extension of their partnership with the team to the end of 2015. Furthermore, Caltex Australia is substantially increasing its involvement with Red Bull Racing Australia with added prominence on the 2014 VF Commodore.
This year marks Red Bull’s second season as naming right sponsor of the five-time championship-winning team, and the increased partnership with Caltex reflects the leading fuel supplier’s strong relationship with Triple Eight, a partnership that has existed since October 2005.
