“Look, probably not the finest Sunday ever. A bit disappointing. I felt like we were on for an okay result, felt like we should have gotten back on the podium there, but I think as you know and saw I had a good run in with Woody at one stage which turned a good race in to not a good race. Yeah I ribbed him up a little bit, and I think he was unhappy with it, so he just turned me around. It’s disappointing… but that’s the way it goes.”

“Aside from that fairly pleased with how things have gone this weekend. But overall, I think it’s been a really, to be honest, a really tough Sprint Cup part of the Championship for us. So a bit disappointed with the way the whole thing has gone. Felt like we had better qualifying pace this weekend and not bad race pace, but as has been the case there’s a bit of work to do outside of the garage, so hopefully we can pull it all together, do a better job, try to get some results in the Enduro Cup.”

“I’m keen to get Scotty in the car with me. I think Scotty will be a good addition for the Enduro Cup like last year for us, he’s a solid driver and together with the team we’ll right now go full focus on The Bend and Bathurst. I’ve got to, we’re going to, we’re putting 100% into that and trying to have good results there to then go in to the Finals hopefully as strong as we can, really strong.”

“Overall it’s been an awesome day. Rolled out once again really strong, just back to the car that we had yesterday and I was able to turn it in second in qualifying to start the day, gets me into the shootout. Then heading into the shootout had lots of confidence, and to be honest to put nearly half a second on P2 to take pole was insane especially around a track like this. So that was awesome.”

“The car was obviously fantastic once again come the race. Got a great start and sort of just checked out and tried to pull as big as a gap as I could. We had rain for the first few laps, which was pretty exciting to be honest, and to be the pioneers on track when it gets wet is always scary, but it was cool to sort of continue to edge out our lead.”

“The race was going great and then the safety car came out, had us under 80km/s for a lot longer than I suppose what we all expected. A few guys jumped us in everything that went on there with stops and stuff, it was pretty frustrating at the time, but to then chase them down and come back and win it like we did. Cam, Kai, Andre, they’re not easy guys to pass and it was great to have a good race and finish the weekend on a high like that.”

“I knew I was celebrating the Sprint Cup this afternoon, but to do it on the back of a win is fantastic. It was really fun, a really good moment, I can’t thank the team enough for letting my Nan get up on the podium. It’s really special and not something you get to do every day. There’s a lot of boys and girls in the team that deserve to be up there. So to let them put my eighty nine year old Nan up there was very special.”
