Triple Eight Race Engineering is excited to announce that co-naming rights partner, Ampol, has committed to the Supercars Championship by securing a further two years with the team. Alongside Red Bull as co-naming rights partner of Red Bull Ampol Racing, the renewal will see the partnership celebrate 18 years in 2023.
Ampol has been Triple Eight’s longest-standing team partner, first signing with the team in 2005 and have since played a significant supporting role in every single championship success. They were naming-rights partners of the team’s third Supercar in 2016 and 2017 piloted by Craig Lowndes, before returning as naming-right’s partners at the beginning of 2021.
“Our relationship with Ampol began back in 2005, and they’ve been exceptional partners of our team, sharing nine Bathurst 1000 wins, nine Drivers’ Championships and ten Teams’ Championships over this period,” said Triple Eight Race Engineering’s Managing Director, Jamie Whincup.
“We share a mutual passion for motorsport and fuelling the next generation, but the team have particularly enjoyed the last two years representing their relaunch of the iconic Ampol brand.
