“Overall, if you would have said at Townsville that we’d have the results we’ve had this weekend I would have taken it.”
“We rolled out a much more competitive car on Friday. I mean, from that first session of practice it felt like we were right in the mix. We had a car that was capable of winning races, we had a car that was fast, felt like it could fight up the front again.”
“But I made a meal of it in qualifying on Saturday morning… then got a front row for that second race and a pole position today so where qualifying has been our weakness we did turn that in to something better this weekend. It was a strength of ours this weekend.”
“Off the back of that front row start on Saturday we got a race win, which was great, it’d been a while since that feeling. Today we led for two thirds of the race, but due to a little bit of strategy, but mainly car speed difference, we weren’t able to hold Matt (Payne) off. He got us in that last pit sequence, we ended up second by not so much and that stings. I mean, it is frustrating because I think we could have won that race today and we didn’t, you never want to let those ones slip through the cracks especially while we, the team, are working as hard as they are to get us up there and be competitive again. So that’s a missed opportunity, but to be back in the fight for a win is obviously great.”
“We always want to be better. We’ll go away and regroup, keep working hard and be ready for Queensland Raceway which is a track we know well and have been really good at.”

“We’ve got a lot of work to do before Queensland Raceway. Don’t feel like we were there this weekend on straight line speed, or setup, or you know I felt like I was not maximising it at all on any occasion as well.”
“So we’ve got work to do, we’ve got to regroup heading to Ipswich which has been a happy hunting ground for us. I’m just going to be in the workshop with the boys, working with the boys at this, learning and improving on what we’ve got and building to where we need to be.”
“Queensland Raceway is the last round in the Sprint Cup so we need to be better going in to Enduros and the Finals, need the results to make sure we’re in this thing and fighting where we have in the past and know where we should be. Lots of work to do.”
