“This weekend, what a weekend. We probably took a fair bit of confidence into this weekend and then when we rolled out strongly on Friday that’s a good feeling. Practice one we were probably one of the fastest cars across that session, then we dropped off a little bit, but to finish Friday where we did at the pointy end was promising.”

“I probably pushed Marty to make a change Friday night that wasn’t in the right direction and, you know, maybe that cost us a bit in qualifying on Saturday when the results weren’t what we were wanting. But when we reverted our car back to what we’d had success with we were strong again, really strong.”

“Today, and firstly for the team, to be winning multiple races on a weekend, getting a pole position today, that was all awesome for the team To have a front row lockout was unreal today. That shows the hard work everyone’s been doing, that’s the payoff, or part way to it, that everyone is working hard for.”

“That race today, I was able to get the start, have a bit of door-to-door and wheel banging with Will, which was really good. Obviously teammate racing is really fun and we know each other so well to not risk anything, and I came out on top through some big corners and speed in places. Then to drive away and win in that (Sunday) race was unreal. To walk away from Queensland Raceway with the Sprint Cup, it’s crazy because you know we pulled a bit of a (Steven) Bradbury this year. The odds would have been a million to one going in to today that we would’ve walked away with it – but that is racing and it can happen to anyone.”

“Obviously very unfortunate to Marty and his team because they have done a really good job to give me the car and get me on a race strategy that got that race win.
So just over the moon, probably more proud of winning the race today than the Sprint Cup because it shows we have some momentum, we have a fast car which is what we’ve been trying to get all season. We’re going in to the Enduros then the Finals soon after and those thing will win it – momentum and a fast car.”

“Obviously an amazing weekend. I’d like to thank everyone at Red Bull Ampol Racing. It was just a really special weekend and kind of a fairy tale weekend, to be honest.”

“To bounce back like we did, the win was amazing, but to get to the pole position today, that really topped it off. Qualifying is where we’ve struggled in the past, not put ourselves in a position to fight for the race win and podium, but feels like this weekend that all changed and we were up there again within the top four guys.”

“The race on Saturday, one of the best races they’ve watched people are saying, it was all on, full on. We got a win, so good to be on that top step again, it’s been a while and the crew deserve it more than anything. Rough last few weeks but to turn it around, keep working heard and get that result – I can’t thank them enough and everyone who’s been in my corner, so good to be back winning races again.”

“Obviously, on Sunday we didn’t have the pace in the race that we wanted, but still really positive result and that shows the consistency that can be there now. We have to look to build on what we’ve done here this weekend in Ipswich and really go strong at the Enduros to put ourselves in the best spot on that ladder and get ready for the Finals.”
