Jamie Whincup – Car #1
“From one bumpy track with plenty of character to another at Pukekohe this weekend. While it was great to have Dutto engineering the last few rounds to get the car back into the window, its now up to Cauchi to steer the ship from here on in and I have full faith in him. Puke requires a really good flowing car that handles the bumps well. We are still screaming for a result after not making the podium during the season of endurance.”
Craig Lowndes – Car #888
“We had great run through the Enduro part of the year and I am looking forward to New Zealand. It is a circuit I enjoy, but I haven’t had such great success there in the past. I am looking forward to turning that around this year.”
The Enduro Season has come to an end, which means it’s time for the Red Bull Racing Australia team to jump across the ditch and visit our neighbours!
2015 is the tenth time the V8 Supercars Championship has competed at Pukekohe Park Raceway and the third year since the category made its return on a revised circuit featuring a chicane in the old back straight.
Friday kicks off with two practice sessions at the track. Saturday is a massive day, delivering a final practice session, followed by two ten minute qualifying sessions. The first of the 60km races starts at 3.00pm, with the second race at 5.00pm.
Fourth and final practice starts Sunday morning, followed by a twenty minute qualifying. The third race at Pukekohe starts 4.00pm local time with sixty nine laps of raw power.
