Preview: Sydney Motorsport Park 2015

Jamie Whincup – Car #1

“I’m looking forward to seeing where our speed is compared to our opposition at Sydney Motorsport Park after making some good gains during the QR weekend.  I don’t feel our final result at QR was a true reflection of speed so I’m looking forward to getting into it this weekend. We had a lot of wet running last year so hopefully the weather’s a bit kinder to the drivers and fans this time around. The circuit was originally designed for bikes, which offers fast flowing corners which are really nice to drive providing you have a nice balanced car. It’s no secret we have some points to catch up, while this is not our focus this weekend we plan to leave no stone unturned.”

Craig Lowndes – Car #888

“I’m looking forward to getting back to Sydney Motorsport Park, it’s a circuit that I enjoy. We all tested there at the start of the year, the soft and hard tyre combination will always throw up new challenges for us but we’ve progressed the car since the Super Test and now looking forward to getting back to a circuit that I enjoy and having a good weekend.”

After a positive home event at Queensland Raceway, RBRA head to Sydney Motorsport Park to fight for the final haul of points ahead of the Pirtek Enduro Cup.

We continue from QR with the SuperSprint format with two 60km races on Saturday and one 200km race on Sunday.
