“It was good to come out of the gate fast this morning. One of our goals this weekend was to maximise our pace right from the start, and to get P1 in the first practice session proved that. I was happy to roll out competitive straight away in that first session and obviously the car was in a pretty good spot from the get-go. In qualifying, we just made it into Q3 but the car was pretty quick. I made a mistake on my last lap and that cost me unfortunately. Even though I qualified P7, there’s a lot more potential in the car, so that’s what we’ll be working on tomorrow. In the race, I had a bit of an average start. I made a few spots back at turn one and then got shuffled back a bit again, but overall, I got back up to P7 which is where we started. We managed to bank some good points again, but the car’s fast and I’m looking forward to tomorrow – there might be a bit of rain around but bring it on.”

“Our car was magic today, and I have to thank the team for their efforts. I’ve been struggling with my driving but the car’s been really good. I had a great battle with Cam (Waters) at the start of the race which was awesome, and Zak (Best) drove great as well. Those battles cost us a bit of time which meant we had to run a bit longer in the race to get clear air, but overall, we had a really awesome day and I can’t wait to see what tomorrow brings. After a long stint, the tyres were still fine, but Will (Davison) had past us with his strategy, so we had to make that time up somewhere to get back in front of him. I would have loved to battle him on the track, but our great strategy and pit stop meant we didn’t have to. I’m really stoked.”
