The 2015 season brought us plenty of highs and a few lows. Across 14 events, we hit the track for 36 races, clocked up 1,821 laps and covered 6,079.3km of bitumen. But who’s counting?
A bumpy start to the year didn’t put a dampener on the fun, with mountain bike trails and Red Baron fails (we’re looking at you JDub!). Come mid-year, we started to get our groove back – Lowndesy became the sport’s first driver to claim 100 series wins, Jamie met Jen and started the love affair with Chassis 40, the “veterans” proved they’re still spring chickens to bring home Triple Eight’s sixth Bathurst win and we managed to work 48 hours straight in Pukekohe to secure an unbelievable 1-2 finish.
You know how people tend to wind down towards the end of the year? Yeah, we didn’t do that. We finished stronger and better than ever, charging all the way to Homebush to take out the 2015 Teams Championship.
We were tried and tested in 2015, but we showed our resilience and bounced back better than ever, and we have to thank every one of you for coming on this crazy journey with us. Teamwork makes the dream work, so bring on 2016; we are ready to give it all we’ve got!
