“I was pretty stoked to finish off the year with a win to be honest. Chaz and Broc were having a good battle up the front, and unfortunately I got turned around by Brodie (Kostecki). I literally then had a moment to myself and said there’s no pressure, I’m just going to go out there and have some fun and drive back through the field as much as I can, and all of a sudden I started to pick a few people off. Andrew (Edwards) came on the radio and said we’re seventh, and then we’re fifth, and I though that was pretty cool. When I got into a podium position, I was stoked with that, but then there was some commotion up ahead and I got through for the win. It was cool to get the win after what happened. I want to say a huge thanks to my team, it’s been an epic year and I can’t wait to celebrate this championship with them.”

“It was really cool to get pole in qualifying, but then to back it up and get pole in the shootout was awesome. I was pumped with the lap and it obviously sets us up well for the race. For the race, obviously Chaz (Mostert) got me at the start of the race through the first chicane. We made a couple of mistakes and were a little bit slow in our pit stops and got caught in some traffic which cost us a little bit. We thought we would come out in the lead after our pit stop, but we nicked Chaz and copped a 15-second penalty. From there, I had heaps of speed in the last stint. I knew Chaz had been told to let me through and I showed my nose in a couple of spots but unfortunately we came together. I went and apologised to him after that race – it certainly wasn’t my intention. I’m upset that I ruined someone else’s race, but I’m really happy with the team’s performance – we were so fast. Looking at the positives, it puts us in a good place for the finals series next year. Looking back at the year, I’m happy with my results; six wins and a handful of poles. My goal was to win the championship and we fell short of that, but it’s been a great year. We’ve had ups and down, but I’m most proud of the last four or five rounds. It’s great momentum going into next year.”
