“It was an awesome day and great to finish up on the podium. It was pretty cool to race Broc there for a little bit. He just had a little bit more than me and got past us in the pits and got the win. Overall I’m really happy to get a podium, and a 1-2 for the team. It was fantastic to get to work with my engineer Andrew (Edwards) today, he’s such a great guy and he has so much passion for racing. I’ve enjoyed working with him so much since the start of the year and today has just been a continuation of that. Hopefully, we can deliver again tomorrow!”

“What an awesome start to the year! It is so good to start this year off on the right foot with a 1-2. We are stoked as a team to finish Race 1 for the year on the podium, the team has been strong all weekend, and they also put in a lot of effort over the break to give us two new cars for this season. Today in the second stint we were nice and fast, but there are always things to work on. We’ll make a few improvements heading into tomorrow’s race but hopefully, we can do it all again tomorrow!”
