“Qualifying was pretty up and down. We showed a lot of potential by managing to get second in Q2 and then fourth in Q3. Brodie (Kostecki) had a bit of a margin so we’ve still got a bit to work on but we were close enough. For the race I had a bad start and then with the early safety car we decided to pit pretty early. We struggled for pace a bit and it didn’t work out for us today. We finished where I think our pace was today in P6. We’ve got some things to work on for tomorrow and hopefully finish higher on the grid.”

Shane van Gisbergen – Car #97

Practice 1 – 25th (01:54.3322)

Practice 2 – 24th (01:52.0714)

Qualifying, Race 20 – Sixth (01:50.4595)

Race 20 – Fifth

Championship standings – Second (1610 points)

“We continued to have a few problems with our car today which was gutting. The guys work so hard, and I really want to give them credit for trying to get to the bottom of these issues, but they plagued us all day unfortunately. Although we got a decent haul of points in the end, I want to put today behind us and work with the guys to get to the bottom of these problems so we can start fresh and have a better day tomorrow.”
