“Awesome weekend of race pace. Qualifying, again, was very disappointing. We keep getting asked what the fix is there and if we knew we’d fix it. At the moment it feels like it’s a combination of things we need to be getting right to get out there and do it as well as we should be. That was a problem all weekend, qualifying.”
“But our race car was mega yesterday and mega again today. Thanks to all the guys and girls that brought everything together for us this weekend, we came into the weekend with one goal and that was to get both cars in to the top four and we’ve gone and done that. That’s exciting.”
“It’s been a lot of pressure over the last two rounds with this new Finals format and I’ve had some things not go my way. Saying that we’ve had some other things that did go our way. All up to be in that final four and hunting for another Championship is awesome. Looking back at last season that was an awesome run and an awesome feeling to win the Championship. The hunger is there to do it again – this isn’t a normal Championship, but we’re in it and we will do everything we can to prepare over the next few weeks, go in with a shot to win it.”

“Today Melbourne threw everything at us and just like usual, you roll out for qualifying and it starts raining. So qualifying was really important. We finished fifteenth in the first session which wasn’t ideal, it was super tight to actually get through, then we probably had a little bit of luck on our side for the shootout with the weather conditions and being able to get our lap down when we did before the track changed. But we needed to do the job and we went out there and did it – and to get another poll position to equal the all-time record with Scotty Mac is something that I’m really very proud of.”
“Starting at the front put us in a great position to go and win the race. It was an eventful race, rain, oil, we dropped back a bit at the start, the sun came out in the end.
It was in that second and third stint that we worked out way back forward, got back out in front by a bit and brought it home. To get a win at this time of the year is extremely important, good for momentum, good to take some of the buzz from Chaz and the others, good to go into Adelaide as a winner. So stoked to go into Adelaide as the Championship leader, that’s hugely critical. Looking forward to it, Adelaide’s one of my favourites.”
“It’s a very short turnaround so we’ve got a lot of work to do in the meantime. We weren’t the fastest car in either race this weekend. We were very competitive, but we need to be stronger come Adelaide. So stoked that the team has done such a great job to get both cars in the Grand Final, that’s awesome for all of us. For us now it’s time to knuckle down and go win a Championship.
