PREVIEW – PHILLIP ISLAND

Jamie Whincup – Car #1

“I am confident going into Phillip Island. It was nice to get a result in New Zealand; hopefully we can carry on that type of form going into Phillip Island. We have two race meetings left, plenty of opportunity to do our brand proud and that’s exactly what we will do.”

Craig Lowndes – Car #888

“Phillip Island is a great track and we have had some great results there. It’s one of the best tracks in Australia and it will be a great weekend. It is a fast flowing circuit and suits my style, so I am really looking forward to backing up the performance we had in New Zealand. Obviously not only is the championship up for grabs, but the team championship is still alive and well!

Back and better than ever from the Auckland 500, we are now staring down the barrel of the final two race meetings of the season.

The Phillip Island Super Sprint starts Friday with two practice sessions leading into the weekend. Saturday morning sees a third practice session take place before two qualifying sessions ahead of the afternoon’s two 60km races. Sunday delivers the final practice of the weekend, followed by a qualifying session for the 200km Super Sprint which starts at 2.10pm AEDT.
