Red Bull Ampol Racing Take Supercar Global

Red Bull Ampol Racing, together with Red Bull and Ford Racing, has announced a series of promotional runs in Europe with their Ford Mustang Supercar at some of motorsport’s most recognised events.

Following huge interest in recent local and international collaborations between Red Bull Ampol Racing, Red Bull and Ford Racing, the team will continue its push to build awareness, excitement and an international following for the sport – Australia’s premier touring car category – with the support and global presence of partners Red Bull and Ford Racing.

Since the beginning of the Red Bull Ampol Racing and Ford Racing partnership, fans have been treated to footage of Max Verstappen driving a Supercar at Las Vegas Motor Speedway for Ford’s 100 Years Anniversary, Daniel Ricciardo and Broc Feeney racing each other in an on-track off-road crossover ahead of the Melbourne Formula 1 Grand Prix, and Jamie Whincup driving a Supercar at Homestead-Miami Speedway ahead of the Miami Formula 1 Grand Prix.

This European trip will involve the Red Bull Ampol Racing team’s Ford Mustang Supercar, as well as drivers Will Brown, Scott Pye, and Team Principal and former Supercars driver Jamie Whincup, at the wheel for four events during June, July and August.

Stop one will feature the Supercar performing demonstration runs at the Red Bull Drift Masters event at Mondello Park in Ireland, broadcast live on Red Bull TV.

Stop two will see Red Bull Ampol Racing #888 car driver and 2024 Supercars Championship winner Will Brown on track at the Red Bull Ring in Spielberg during the FORMULA 1 LENOVO AUSTRIAN GRAND PRIX from 26-28 June. The iconic circuit hosts Formula 1, MotoGP, DTM and other premier racing categories throughout the year.

Stop three will see seven-time Supercars Championship winner and Red Bull Ampol Racing Team Principal Jamie Whincup at the wheel at the iconic Goodwood Festival of Speed in England, where the Supercar will be a part of demonstrations, a Red Bull and Ford Racing display, and the event’s showpiece, The Goodwood Hill Climb – a challenging 1.86km timed run through the narrow, twisting roads and up the hill around Goodwood House.

The Supercar, driven by Red Bull Ampol Racing #888 car co-driver Scott Pye, will then be featured at the Red Bull Showrun in Riga, capital city of Latvia, alongside other vehicles and world-renowned Red Bull athletes as part of a motorsport celebration for European fans.

Mark Rushbrook, Global Director, Ford Racing:

“Having Triple Eight running the Mustang in the Australian Supercar series has already reaped huge benefits for the Ford Racing team and the string of excellent results has shown that. But working with them brings more than just on track results.”

“It is great to see how Triple Eight and Red Bull have embraced the off-track activities and worked to bring this incredible car to more fans around the world. We are delighted to support the European tour for the car and look forward to exciting crowds across the continent with the speed, power and noise of our Australian Supercars Mustang.”

Jamie Whincup, Managing Director and Team Principal, Triple Eight Race Engineering:

“The power of our Ford Racing and Red Bull partnership is that it’s global and allows us to showcase our car, team and drivers worldwide.”

“The car was in Las Vegas earlier in the year, we just drove it in Miami, now we have an awesome opportunity to take it to Europe and show a whole new audience what an Aussie Supercar can do.”

“There’s no other racing series quite like Supercars – we know that. We saw that ‘flying’ through the streets of the Gold Coast and the racing at Bathurst, once you experience a Supercars race, see it and hear it, you’re hooked.”

“Our goal is to bring what we do to a whole new audience, keep building our passionate fan base that follow the blue oval and the Red Bull Ampol Racing team – and show the fans back here the cool things we get up to while we’re not competing in the Supercars Championship.”

“Ireland, Austria, and Latvia are all massive events in their own right. Then to take the Supercar to Goodwood, that is going to be an unbelievable experience at one of the biggest motorsport events on the planet.”

“Here’s to avoiding those hay bales on that hill climb!”

Will Brown, #888 Driver, Red Bull Ampol Racing Team:

“Never thought I’d be taking the Supercar to a Formula 1 Grand Prix in Europe – and in Austria, the home of Red Bull, what an unreal opportunity!”

“Probably one of the biggest things I’ve done with the team so far.”

“We see so many people commenting on Supercars race highlights, and they’re commenting from overseas. They’re loving what we’re doing here when we race! It’s another way to connect with them and get them into the sport – how many people have heard an Aussie V8 screaming around the Red Bull Ring? That is going to sound cool.”

“Then there’s the off track stuff too, in Ireland, Goodwood and Latvia as well. We’ll get to be a part of all the action, show our fans behind the scenes everywhere we go over there. That’s the exciting bit for me!”

Will Brown and Broc Feeney will continue competing in the 2026 Supercars Championship, which runs alongside the European trip, with rounds in Darwin, Townsville and Perth scheduled across June, July and August. Red Bull Ampol Racing currently leads both the Teams and Drivers Championships.
