“Our qualifying wasn’t good at all today. We rolled out pretty strong to get P7 in the first session, but we didn’t do a very good job in the second session. I wasn’t happy to not make the shootout because we definitely had the pace to be there. Our emphasis tomorrow will be on improving our qualifying because that’s the thing that’s been hurting us lately, and as you can tell 15th was all that we had today. We had a great race strategy that got us a top ten finish which was great. I don’t know how much higher we could have got today. We pitted really early, and we were looking really strong in the race for so long up until the last 10 laps when it was getting very hard to hold onto position. The team did a great job with the strategy and the pit stops, so we’ll focus on qualifying tomorrow and hopefully be right up the front.”

“Our race was good and bad. We were just following the leading cars for most of the race, so we tried a different strategy in our pit stop by changing three tyres, mainly to get the fastest lap but also to have a shot at the Shell cars in front. Unfortunately, our pit stop didn’t go too well today which meant we ran out of laps at the end of the race to gain any more positions, but it was good to get a podium in the end. The two-tyre pit stops are definitely the way to win the race because you can’t pass, but we really wanted those extra points from the fastest lap. We were never going to pass the Shell cars, they’re too good, so we thought we’d try the three-tyre strategy. We knew we’d give up some spots in the race, but we were able to reduce the deficit by getting those extra points.”
