Pete is our Head of Performance – quietly starting his time at Triple Eight in 2018. He might not be one of the faces you see on TV, or one of the voices you heard or read in the news, but boy, does his opinion matter. Pete learnt his craft OptimumG, where you go around giving lectures around the world about vehicle dynamics and tyres.
How valuable is his knowledge you might ask? How about IndyCar, the World Rally Championship, and the World Endurance Championship? Even ask Dutto yourself, and he will tell you he’s a “a super-, super-smart guy”. A gun with different realms of fast cars, Pete understands testing, tyres, setup and development better than most, hence why our cars are so bloody good.
You’ll find Pete locked into his data screens at the track, head on a swivel letting Andrew and Marty know the next move, and best plan of attack. There’s number crunching, then there’s Pete, and we are bloody lucky to have him.
