SHAKE IT OFF BEFORE THE TEST

We here at Red Bull Holden Racing Team are proud to announce the arrival of two new chassis out at Queensland Raceway yesterday (awwwww!)

Now, we know you don’t shake the baby, but weighing in at 1350kgs, a good old’ fashioned shakedown is exactly what the doctor ordered!

Another scorcher of a day out at our local track, the restriction ruled shakedown proved nothing short of a success for both Commodores, as SVG and JDub suited up and gave the bulls a spin at 60km’s.

“Shakedown days are always exciting,” said JDub.

“You don’t get to rip around the track and go hard, but it’s the first time the car hits a circuit before heading into the big leagues. You learn a lot about the car, how it feels, how it drives. Even though it’s early days, you can tell immediately if anything needs adjusting.”

There’s no doubting that the new chassis 046 has a lot to live up to in SVG’s books.

“Last year’s car, Portia, brought me home the championship win, and she drove like a winner from the very start to the very end,” said SVG.

“I am excited about my new car, Candii, and can already feel that we’ve got awesome potential. As always, there are a couple of things to iron out, but that’s what a shakedown is for.”

“I am feeling really confident heading into next week’s test, it am excited to finally get back on track ahead of the season, it’s felt like forever,” said SVG.

The Triple Eight-built chassis will see both drivers through to the end of 2017, with 2018 bringing a whole new generation of Supercar.

The RBHRT crew will be testing at Sydney Motorsport Park at a private test day, February 21.
